A reliable sanding system is not about one abrasive doing every job. It is about matching cut, backing, grit and dust extraction to each stage so technicians can work efficiently and leave a predictable scratch pattern.
Abrasive Grain
Compare aluminum oxide, zirconia/aluminum oxide and ceramic blends using the stated disc construction and intended operation.
Backing and Attachment
Paper, polyester film and PA mesh have different handling characteristics. Check pad diameter and hook-and-loop attachment.
Dust Extraction Compatibility
Match disc holes and backing pad to the vacuum system. Extraction does not replace respiratory protection where required.
